Incredible India ads go global!

Looks like India would be the leading ad themes in some of the major global events this year. The very powerful Incredible India ads would be showcased in events like Oscars, Bata and Grammy. Even at the Euro sports TV would play Incredible India ads during the Winter Olympics which would be held in Vancouver. During the Oscar, Grammy and BAFTA award events would be telecasted on E! Entertainment Channel and the Incredible India ads would get major spots. Foreign media has to be the target for the new ads to bring the world to India. A tourism ministry official informs “We have planned a series of international campaigns in the potential market to attract and motivate travelers to India”.

Skype pitches for global ad reach

The internet telephony business has paired up agencies with offices in London and on the West Coast of America in an attempt to develop global marketing plans. The partners have also been selected due to plans to develop Skype's brand strategy. The pitch has been called to give Skype global reach. The brand intends to focus on digital marketing together with global TV ads. In the same month, eBay announced that it was preparing to float the company as a standalone entity.

BBC Worldwide in global ad deal

BBC Worldwide is to sell online ad inventory worldwide, apart from North America and Australia, for Lonelyplanet.com. The deal means most ad sales worldwide, on and offline would be handled by BBC Worldwide, which bought a 75% stake in Lonely Planet for £75m in September 2007.The website attracted 5.2 million unique users in June, up 21% year on year. Sales of online ad inventory were previously handled by ad sales house Ad2One. BBC Worldwide 16 sales offices across the world will handle the inventory for local sites.Lonelyplanet.com has relaunched in the past year and recently won the Webby for Best Travel Site.

Top Korea to Start Global Ad on Advanced Technologies

The Korean government plans to start running an ad featuring Korea's indigenous and advanced technologies on international news media such as CNN and BBC, beginning from the middle of September, a source said Sunday. The ad is aimed at promoting Korea's technologies for WiBro wireless data transmission, flat-screen televisions and other telecommunication areas where Korean firms have an edge over global competitors.
In addition, the government is considering setting up public relations offices at major airports and exhibition centers around the world to promote the competitive small firms abroad, according to the council.
