410 private satellite TV channels get MIB nod to uplink from India

Colors bets on brawn with '100% De Dhana Dhan'

Colors has announced its new show, 100% De Dhana Dhan as a replacement to their weekend reality show, India’s Got Talent. The show, based on '100% Lucha', an Argentine wrestling show, has been designed by Endemol India and is likely to run for 13 weeks on the channel. The show, which will introduce wrestling for the first time on a Hindi GEC, is likely to see 12 Indian wrestlers pitted against their South African counterparts. Rajat Sharma to launch second news channel, India TV Wiz

Rajat Sharma led Independent News Service (INS) has got approval from the Information and Broadcasting Ministry to launch another next 24-hour news channel. After India TV, which was launched in August 2004, the company is likely to launch India TV Wiz.
India TV Wiz is being positioned as a premium news channel and will have shows in both English and Hindi. The channel is expected to go on-air in six months. Source: Afaqs

Some of the stories from comic book Amar Chitra Katha are likely to now debut in animated form on Cartoon Network and Pogo, the kids channel of broadcaster Turner International. Turner International has acquired the rights of some Amar Chitra Katha stories from ACK Media of Mumbai for a 26-episode series and two 70-minute films.
